A mobile gaming developer has confirmed that it will add an Italian gaming operator to its list of services.
Greentube, which is the interactive wing of NOVOMATIC, is understood to have acquired Admiral Sport.
Admiral Sport offers a range of casino output to Italy, as well as more general betting services.
These are offered at present under a brand known as AdmiralYes.
In total, AdmiralYes runs over 100 sports betting outlets in Italy.
This is not the first time that Greentube has been able to snap up a company in Italy.
Last year, it acquired Capecod Solutions, which was an Italy-based developer.
The company has therefore now been able to enhance the range of games it offers through its acquisitions.
In a statement, the chief commercial officer at Greentube said that the firm was pleased to have signed the forms for the second acquisition in the country.
Ronald van den Brink explained that this would enhance the market position of the firm.
“We are thrilled to complete our second acquisition in Italy in a short space of time to further strengthen our position in the market,” he said.
He added that Admiral was “renowned and trusted” – and that the takeover would allow the firm to enhance its market share.
“Admiral Sport is a renowned and trusted Italian player and through this takeover we will double our market share, giving us a better foundation to develop our future activities in the country,” he said.
He concluded by pointing out that Italy is a vital regulated market for the company to participate in.
“Italy is one of the most important regulated markets for online gaming and we see great potential to further grow the business over the next few years,” he explained.
